Austria 1908 – ANK 147 I – 25 heller Jubilee Issue Franz Joseph – Plate flaw “P ranziscus” – cancelled pair
Jubilee issue 1908 “60 Years of Reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I.” Very attractive cancelled pair of the 25 heller denomination (ANK 147 I) featuring the well-known plate flaw “P ranziscus” (damaged or misprinted letters in the inscription “FRANCISCUS”). The flaw is clearly visible on the left stamp.
Clean perforation, fresh color, and a nice postal cancellation. Pairs showing this plate flaw are much rarer than single examples and represent a sought-after specialist item of the Emperor Franz Joseph issues.
An excellent piece for a specialized collection of the 1908 Jubilee Issue, plate flaws, or classic Austrian philately.
